This is Luis E. Frias, your instructor of Portuguese 1010 at Brooklyn College for Spring 2022.

Our course will take place from Monday, January 31st through Wednesday, May 18th.

In this website you will all find the semester’s Syllabus, the 100% open educational resources you are going to use for the semester and for the bi-weekly discussions that will take place on Blackboard website, and the course schedule that is going to ease you to always keep up with the course.

This course aims to develop solid basic competence in the three modes of communication: Interpersonal (speaking), Interpretative (reading and listening comprehension), and Presentational (speaking and writing) in Portuguese. You will also be exposed to various aspects of the Portuguese-speaking world culture.
